Xavier is on the 5th grade track team at his school and he had his big track meet last week. He was very excited. He ran the 800 meter, the anchor leg of the 4x200, and competed in the long jump. Below is a video of his 4x200 race (it starts right before Xavier gets the baton).
We are so very proud of him! It is amazing to think how far he has come in the 3 years since his surgery. I still have such vivid memories of him struggling to walk up our driveway or to the bus stop before his surgery, and here he is running like the wind...dude's fast!
Way to go Xavier!
